AMBULANCE SERVICES

Patient care is Cataldo’s top priority.

As the largest 911 response provider in Massachusetts, Cataldo prides itself on it’s exceptional team and equipment designed to ensure the best care possible.

Cataldo maintains a fleet of ready, reserve, and back-up vehicles capable of being activated at a moment’s notice. Each ambulance is equipped with the latest in safety and comfort features. The Cataldo ambulance fleet is one of the newest in the country.

Wheelchair vans are also built to custom specifications and incorporate refinements developed over many years of providing wheelchair accessible transportation.

All units are maintained and serviced in our own maintenance facilities, well equipped with an extensive list of modern service equipment, as well as access to a master emergency mechanic, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Equipment is scrutinized for ease of use, functionality, durability and performance. From wheelchairs to cardiac monitors, equipment is fully evaluated before being purchased and issued for use in the field.

In 2019, Cataldo responded to 109,000 911 calls.

The quick response and decisions made by the EMTs saved my mother’s life. We wanted to go to a Boston hospital but the EMTs decided that she needed to go to a closer facility because of her condition. Because they took her to Whidden Memorial Hospital, she lived. I figured that the EMTs would just drop their patient off and leave, but they stayed and talked with us; they went beyond the call of duty. I just wanted to let them know how wonderful I thought they were.”
