Because of the response and the decisions the EMTs made, they saved my mother’s life.  We wanted to go to a Boston hospital but the EMTs decided that she needed to go to a closer facility because of her condition.  Because they took her to Whidden Memorial Hospital, she lived.  You figure that EMTs would just drop a patient off and leave, but the EMTs stayed and talked with us; they went beyond the call of duty.  I just wanted to let them know how wonderful I thought they were.
