In the Community

Cataldo’s Annual Golf Tournament began in 1993 with the intention of making a small annual contribution to the Fight Against Cancer. Now, after hosting for 30 years, Cataldo Ambulance Service has raised over $300,000 for the cause. The Cataldo Swing Fore Hope annual charity golf tournament donates all proceeds to the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge in Boston. The Hope Lodge offers Cancer patients and their families a free, temporary place to stay while patients are receiving their treatments.

With exciting raffle prizes, networking, and sponsorship opportunities, Cataldo ensures we can make a difference in the lives of many suffering from Cancer. For more information about sponsorship opportunities for the 2023 Charity Golf Tournament click here.

Cataldo Ambulance Service was honored to be a part of the Healthcare Heroes Way. The City of Melrose and MelroseWakefield Hospital dedicated the corner of Porter Street and Lebanon Street in recognition of the contributions of healthcare providers for the care they provide as well as their dedication to keeping the community healthy and safe. Thank you to the MelroseWakefiled community for including EMS professionals in this dedication. We are honored to be part of your community.

Community Outreach

Serving local communities creates opportunities to collaborate in many ways. The more visible ways include supporting local Chambers, participating in community events, sponsoring local organizations and encouraging students to learn more about EMS.

Less visible partnerships are also critical to building and strengthening the resources that help keep our communities safe. Whether participating in the Opioid prevention Taskforce, or teaching first aid and CPR to kids, Cataldo works to improve the quality of life for residents in served communities at every opportunity.

Trouble the Dog, has helped countless kids weather the stress of frightening or chaotic situations. Cataldo recently launched a collaboration with The Kennek Foundation, the creators of Trouble, in order to ensure every child in need has access to a soft friend like Trouble.zz
